The actress appeared as a guest in Victorious alongside Victoria Justice in 2012. Shipp began her career in 2009, as a support actor for Alvin and the Chipmunks. The third season of Nickelodeon's mysterious teen drama series House of Anubis saw her play KT in the title role. The roles she played in 2014 were Dani Raymond, the lead part of the VH1 TV sequel Drumline: A New Beat as well as Aaliyah Hauchton in Lifetime television film Aaliyah the Princess of R&B attracted her admiration.
